Founded in 1936, the Urban Land institute has members in 95 countries worldwide, representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines, working in private enterprise and public service. The institute asked Vern Associates to update their annual report, focussing on the challenges faced by the United States in upgrading its infrastructure. The art program for this publication was very heavily illustrated with information graphics.

The Result

Through the judicious use of calm accent colors, Vern Associates was able to a design a strong framework for the often unwieldy palette required for publications containing multiple charts, graphs, tables and photos.
