Marking the 75th anniversary of this prestigious medical organization, this book brings together in one volume a vast amount of information, which it presents clearly and concisely. Vern Associates was commissioned by the ACG to edit, design, and produce this impressive book.

Concept

Since this book must serve as a resource as well as a celebratory volume, Vern Associates carefully crafted a volume that ably accomplishes both functions.

Content

A vast amount of information by a large number of contributors is brought together in the pages of this book, and it was crucial that it be imparted in an organized, cogent manner. Careful editing gave the text a consistent voice, while a varied color scheme helps distinguish between chapters and subjects.

Design & Production

An extensive, multipage timeline was among the design challenges this book presented. The use of color and white space resolved it readily. It was also necessary to find a means of balancing the importance of the text with that of several major appendices. Again, color helped out here.

The Result

An efficient, effective single-volume history and reference work that will be read and relied on as a reference for years to come.
