"We live in regions—territories defined primarily by function and only rarely by jurisdiction." So begins the introductory chapter to this fascinating, envelope-pushing consideration of what presently comprises the field of regional planning and how today's practitioners will shape and change it in the years to come. What began in a 2010 discussion session presented by Lincoln Institute, developed into this book, which considers regional planning in the early 21st century from a number of different vantage points.
