Vern Associates was founded in 1994 under the name Vernon Press, Inc. Originally, we made our book-packaging services available solely to trade publishers. As our company matured, our reputation for making award-winning, high-quality, illustrated books became known to organizations outside the traditional publishing "sector"—museums, nonprofit organizations, and corporations, for example. Soon, our custom publications division became our most active and, in keeping with our revised mission, we changed our name to Vern Associates, Inc., in 2002.

Peter Blaiwas and Brian Hotchkiss bring to Vern Associates a singular blending of talents and interests—Blaiwas in design and production; Hotchkiss in title development and editorial work.
